Bankroll, Playing Requirements and Risk Management

Your poker account will be funded with your agreed daily limit and then each day we will top up your account or empty any profit leaving you with your daily limit. We record all sweeps in your own personal Potcheck to keep record of your daily profit and loss. To enable us to perform the daily sweeps you are required not to play during the hours of 6 a.m. till 11 a.m. (UK time).

You must not enter a cash table with more than 1/5th (20%) of your daily limit, so if you have a $500 a day limit the maximum you should be sitting down with at any one table is $100. Your limit is specifically designed to provide you with five or more maximum buy-ins.

If you are a tournament player you must enter tournaments up to a maximum 5% of your daily limit, therefore if you have a $500 limit the maximum tournament entry you should be playing is $25. If you are in profit for the day you can enter Multi Table Tournaments up to a maximum of 15% of your daily limit (if using only profit from that day).

You are required to play a minimum of 15,000 hands a month, this is not a target but is a minimum requirement, however we actually expect any serious poker player when confident at their level of game to be able to play at least 18,000 to 20,000 hands a month and full time players to play at least 24,000+ hands a month.

Tournament players are required to enter a minimum of 400 tournaments a month, and as per cash players this is a minimum requirement. More than 400 tournaments a month is expected from any sponsored player.

Failure to meet the number of hands/tournaments required may result in zeroing of your accounts and possible termination from the programme. If you require a break for any reason please let your mentor know in advance (when possible) so that you are not removed from the programme unnecessarily.

You can move up the levels when you are in profit for the day, however your mentor must have agreed the guidelines of moving up the levels with you prior to doing so and you must only move up one level at a time, irrelevant of the amount of profit you make. You must learn to beat each level one at a time, attempting to skip levels in-between will simply eat up your profit.

If you make a profit of 50% of your daily loss limit during any session you should self sweep this profit to protect it, good bankroll management and discipline will increase your profit dramatically. Self sweeping is only available on certain sites, however, we still advise that you protect your profits even where self sweeping is not available. Instruction videos on self sweeping can be found within your Pokernet.

Mentoring Sessions

Your mentor is your main point of contact and you will be provided with their contact details before you start. Please discuss any concerns or suggestions you have with your mentor.

You are expected to have one hour of mentoring a week from your dedicated mentor, you must book your own sessions using your mentor diary which you will find within Pokernet. Your mentor will provide available slots for sessions if you cannot find a suitable slot then please contact your mentor to discuss this. Failure to attend a booked mentoring session may result in zeroing of your account as this is simply wasting your mentors valuable time.

You must ensure that you have the following downloaded and ready to use. These programs are crucial to ensure you get the most out of your mentoring sessions:-

- MSN Messenger to be able to chat online to your mentor
- Skype to be able to chat online and call your mentor
- Team Viewer to allow your mentor to view your screen during mentoring sessions
- Hold'Em Manager

Breach Rules

The below breach rules are in place to protect your profits and are all part of bankroll management:

1. Lose a total of 2 times your daily limit (or close to) over your last 7 days of play
You will be required to have a 1 day cooling off period where your account(s) will be zeroed and then refunded the following day with half your previous daily limit.

2. Lose your FULL daily limit EVER
This is frowned upon and may even result in termination of your sponsorship however you will in the least be required to have a 1 day cooling off period where your account(s) will be.

3. Lose a total of 5 times your starting limit
Your sponsorship may be terminated, particularly during your first month as a sponsored player.

Note that notwithstanding the above, BadBeat and your Mentor reserve the right, particularly during your first month, to amend daily limits as required.

Increasing your limit

To increase your daily limit you should aim to reach a profit of 5 times your starting daily limit at which point your mentor will request for your limit to be increased. Please note that limit increases will only be completed if all criteria of being a Trader are met, such as the minimum hand requirement, attending mentoring sessions, not breaching etc.

Limit increases may be authorised prior to reaching this profit however only after recommendation from your mentor.

Pokernet

Once you are ready to start playing as a Trader you will be required to download Pokernet. You will be sent instructions on how to download Pokernet when you are nearly ready to start (you are not required to use Pokernet before).

Pokernet will upload completed hands played to your mentor enabling them to fully analyse your play at all times. Failure to use Pokernet whilst playing as a Trader will result in your account being zeroed and possible termination from the programme, therefore, if you are having difficulties with Pokernet please contact pokernet@badbeat.com for assistance and stop playing immediately till your Pokernet is working again.

You will also see Sign In and Sign Out icons within Pokernet, you must always Sign In as you start to play and Sign Out as you finish playing, this is to notify the Poker Shift Manager when you are playing.

Other BadBeat Sponsored Players

BadBeat players at any level should not play against other BadBeat players. Should you join a table where another BadBeat player is already seated you must leave the table, except where there are no other tables available at the desired level, in which case a maximum of 2 BadBeat players can be seated at the same table at any one time. When seated at the same table as another BadBeat player - soft play or collusion are not permitted.

If you sit at the same table as another BadBeat player you will receive a "Collision Alert" pop up message from your Pokernet.

Poker Shift Manager

To help improve player performance and profitability we have Shift Manager?s who assist our Mentors in ensuring you can be more successful. You must add shiftmanager@badbeat.com to your MSN address book and always be signed in to MSN while you are playing.

The Shift Manager may advise you to self sweep profit or to stop if you are having a bad run, please remember that the shift manager is there to protect your profits and minimise your losses - you are required to follow their instructions. If you do not agree with a decision made from a shift manager then you must discuss this with your mentor.

The Trader Deal

As a Trader you will receive 50% of your profits and BadBeat retain 50% of your profits.

All new starters will be required to complete a minimum of one full month in the probationary period (typically not more than 3 months) once your mentor is happy that you are meeting the requirements that is expected of a BadBeat trader you will be promoted to full trader status. To find out how you are doing you should keep in regular contact with your mentor.

To be promoted to full trader status you are expected to (although not limited to) have met the minimum hand/tournament requirement, played within the breach management rules, self swept profits where possible, attended mentoring sessions and although not essential made a reasonable profit.

Payment of profits

For your first 6 months you will automatically be paid 25% of your profits each month, once you have completed 6 months, your payments will increase to 40% of your profits being paid monthly and the remaining 10% paid annually, unless your loss limit is larger than $5,000 a day in which case you will continue to receive 25% monthly.
Note that your deal is 50/50 your profit is just released at the above rate as part of our risk management.

Payments are made direct to your bank account on or before the 20th of the following month, therefore January's profit will be paid on or before February 20th. If during the time in which your payment was calculated (1st of the month) and your payment is made (typically between the 15th and 17th of the month) you have lost your previous months profits, your payment (or part thereof) will be held back till the following month. This is to prevent you from becoming overdrawn where any profit you make will simply be covering debts, this is not a position we want any player to be in.

Payments will start once you have completed one full month. If you joined part way through the month you will be paid on completion of your second month (this will include your share of profit to date).

The minimum payment made will be $50. If you are due less than this you will not be paid till the next month if your profit share due is more than $50.

Statements are available on-line by logging into www.badbeat.com and clicking the statement tab.

Now you have finished reading you should be ready to play, so good luck!
